ABOUT

JOIN US AND BE A PART OF
IRON MOUNTAIN HISTORY

This great event does not take place year after year without our volunteers, sponsors, community, and participants’ generosity.

This race is possible because of the hard work and determination of our volunteers. We always are looking for new volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including set-up, directing athletes on and off the course and assisting with road crossings, handing out medals, assisting with water and food, and many, many, many days, weeks and months of planning for this event!

Our sponsors not only allow us the financial ability to make this event a reality but, more importantly, fulfill our mission of giving back to our community and charity partners, especially the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet. Year after year, our sponsors continue to step up and support this race. Year after year, more sponsors have continued to join this enthusiastic team of volunteers and commit their hard-earned dollars to support it. Thank you so much!!

The Run Iron Mountain Road and Trail Half Marathon community is genuinely second to none, and their participation and support every year is evident. All you need to do is come to our event and be witness to it! We ask that if you would like to get a sense of community pride, watch this race, this event, and join this community of supporters. You will quickly understand why we are so proud to be a part of this community and always eager to share them with you!

We cannot say enough about our athletes who participate in the events of the day. From the walkers to the runners, it is truly inspiring to witness the determination and enthusiasm they bring with them every year. Without our participants, our event becomes meaningless. The culmination of planning, training, and executing on race day brings us together on the day of the event. The event highlights each of our commitments to performing. Participants, volunteers, sponsors, and community celebrate on the day of the race, together as one, each other’s accomplishments. Everyone on race day should believe they have a purpose and a part to play on race day because they do. Together we celebrate on the day of the race, what we all mean to each other and what hard work, determination, planning, and participation do. We all cross the finish line together on race day. Thank you, and please continue to participate with us in any way that works for you!

Do not hesitate to contact us regarding any level of participation. We love this community, and we would love for you to have a role in this race, this community. Join us and Run Iron Mountain. See you soon!
