We are excited to continue to plan for our race on September 26th. Because of the unprecedented times we are living in with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are closely monitoring and will follow the guidelines provided to us from local and state public health and safety officials to ensure we provide a safe environment for the Run Iron Mountain Road & Trail Half Marathon.
Our mission and intention this year is to provide a wonderful community event. Please sign up for our race. Let’s get outside, exercise and cheer on the racers who participate safely in this year’s race. If at some point conditions change that would require us to cancel our race, all registered participants will have the choice to receive a full refund or have the choice to move their registration forward to the 2021 event.
In our effort to push forward with our race and be financially responsible, we will be making some modifications to what you may normally expect to experience as race a participant:
1. We will be using the same design from our 2019 finisher medals with an updated lanyard. The first 137 half marathon registrants will be guaranteed finisher medals on race day. If we have more than 137 registrants, we will mail a finisher’s medal to you at your home.
2. Medals for placement within each age category for men and women will not be given out this year because of the unknown conditions and predictability of participation. Placement medals and/or awards will be given to the top 3 finishers overall in the male and female category per event.
3. This year, we will be offering a 5k, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay.
As always, thank you to our sponsors and volunteers who are doing what they can to make this race happen in 2020. Updates will be provided if anything should change but as of now, please proceed with registering for our event.
